Raven Skull - Wildlife Replicas

£17.50

The Common Raven (Corvus corax) is a canny and hardy bird. In the UK it is generally found in Northern England and Scotland and is a rarer bird spot. They are closely associated with folklore, my own family's coat-of-arms bears a Raven at its head as well as two dead crows at its feet. The Vikings believed such birds carry the souls of the battle-slain to Valhalla. And let us not forget Huginn and Muninn Odin's Ravens, who acted as his eyes and ears across the land.

This life-sized 3D print is made from recyclable corn-starch PLA plastic and based on a digital scan of an actual raven skull. It makes for a perfect druidic gift for yourself or a special Wiccan someone. It is highly detailed printed to 0.05mm accuracy, finished by hand using acrylic paints. A brilliant item for display purposes - whether you have an interest in ornithology, paganism, animal biology, or wish for a folklore dedication to this mythical bird.

This skull is cruelty-free and perfect for those naturalists who are concerned about the impact of sourcing skulls for their collections. Our raven skull is anatomically accurate while having no animal harmed in the process! Measuring around 110mm long at the base the skull is in one piece, printed in one go (both cranium and jaw fused together).

This is a one of a kind 3D printed skull made with love in our little Chapel and hand-painted by an artist. The careful printing process we undertake to retain detail takes time, and this particular print takes around 8 hours. The 3D printing textures add to the realism of the skull and create a knitted bone-like texture - which alongside the paint, adds to the rustic feel of the item.

Our skulls are printed, finished, primed, painted, and packaged on-demand, meaning it takes a few days to have your order ready and sent out to you.

Printing and finishing time: 3-4 days.

Painting time: 3-4 days.

Total time to dispatch: 6-8 days.
